Obtaining Your Credit Report

Any individual may request to access to his/her credit information from the Credit Bureau. The request for the credit report can only be made by the individual. In the case of a business entity or a deceased person, such request can be made by a person authorised by the entity (for businesses) or by the court (deceased).

 

The credit report containing the individual’s credit information can be obtained by individuals through the following channels:

 

  • eCCRIS, a secured online platform where users may access their CCRIS reports, anywhere at their convenience. For more details about eCCRIS, please visit
         https://eccris.bnm.gov.my/; and
  • CCRIS kiosks from the following BNMLINK Kuala Lumpur and BNM Offices, and AKPK branches.

A) Access via eCCRIS

If you wish to access your credit report via eCCRIS, please register as an eCCRIS user by following the steps below:

 

  • Step 1: Request your 6-digit PIN at BNMLINK Kuala Lumpur, BNM Offices or AKPK branches.
  • Step 2: Verify your identity at BNMLINK Kuala Lumpur, BNM Offices or AKPK branches. For individuals, biometric verification with MyKad, and registration of mobile
        phone number can be done at CCRIS kiosk. Subsequently, a 6-digit PIN will be sent to your registered mobile phone number.
  • Step 3: Key in your IC number and 6-digit PIN for first time login at https://eccris.bnm.gov.my
  • Step 4: Set your preferred User ID and password. Then, select the security image and security phrase; and set the three security questions and answers.
  • Step 5: For subsequent access to credit report online, the individual needs to follow the steps below:
    •      Go to https://eccris.bnm.gov.my;
    •      Login with your User ID and password; and
    •      Check ENQUIRY > Self Enquiry – Individual


Note:  Your Transaction Authorisation Code (TAC) is required for additional security when you wants to change your registered mobile number.

 

B) Access via CCRIS Kiosk at BNMLINK Kuala Lumpur, BNM Offices or AKPK

 

If you are requesting credit report personally via CCRIS Kiosk at BNMLINK Kuala Lumpur, BNM Offices or AKPK, bring along your MyKad. The credit report will be printed to you during the visit.

 

C) Request at BNMLINK Kuala Lumpur or BNM Offices

 

If you are requesting credit report personally at BNMLINK Kuala Lumpur or BNM Offices, bring along your MyKad and any other supporting documents that can verify your identity such as your driving licence or passport . The credit report will be given to you during the visit.

 

D) Request via correspondences

 

If you are requesting credit report via correspondences, you may apply for the credit report by completing and sending us the following:

  • Credit Report Request Form (CRR);
  • Loan Declaration Form;
  • A clear photocopy of your MyKad (both sides); and
  • Any combination of two other documents (with your name and address stated clearly on each copy) from the following:
  •      Water bill;
  •      Electricity bill;
  •      Telephone bill;
  •      Bank account statement;
  •      Credit card statement; or
  •      EPF statement.

A) Access via eCCRIS

If a business/company wishes to access its credit report via eCCRIS, the business/company is required to follow the steps below:

 

  •  Step 1: Appoint an authorised person;
  •  Step 2: The authorised person needs to register as an eCCRIS user by following the eCCRIS registration steps for individual above.
  •  Step 3: Once activated as an eCCRIS user, the authorised person needs to present the business/company authorisation letter and business/company
         registration certificates to BNM officer at BNMLINK Kuala Lumpur or BNM Offices to allow them to access credit report of the business/company.
  •  Step 4: For subsequent access to credit report on behalf of the business/company via eCCRIS, the authorised person needs to follow the steps below:
    •      Go to https://eccris.bnm.gov.my;
    •      Login with the authorised person’s User ID and password; and
    •      Select ENQUIRY > Self Enquiry – Non-Individual

 

Note: Transaction Authorisation Code (TAC) is required for additional security when the authorised person wants to change his/her registered mobile number.

 

B) Request at BNMLINK Kuala Lumpur or BNM Offices

 

Sole Proprietor/Partnership

If you are a sole proprietor or partnership, the credit information of the sole proprietor or partnership will be reflected in your individual personal credit report. However, if you still want to request for the sole proprietor or partnership credit report, the request must strictly be accompanied with a Credit Report Request Form supported with the original and copies of the following documents:


Sole Proprietor

 

  • Identity card (MyKad) or passport (if you are a non-Malaysian);
  • Business registration certificate (within validity period); and
  • Detailed statement of previous and existing owner.

 

Partnership

 

  • Identity card (MyKad) or passport (if you are a non-Malaysian) of the authorised person;
  • Business registration certificate (within validity period);
  • Detailed statement of previous and existing owners; and
  • An authorisation letter from the company (with company's letterhead) to authorise the person (only employee or employer) to collect the credit report.
        The letter should be signed by minimum two partners.

 

Please take note that the authorisation letter and certified true copies must be dated within 14 working days before the submission date of the Credit Report Request Form.


Company


Only employee who is authorised by the company can request and collect the credit report. The authorised personnel should fill in the Credit Report Request Form and submit it together with the original and copies of the following documents:

 

  •  Identity card (MyKad) or passport (if you are a non-Malaysian) of the authorised person;
  •  An authorisation letter from the company (with company's letterhead) to authorise the person to collect the credit report.
         The letter should be signed by the Company Secretary and minimum two Directors of the company;
  •  A dated certified true copy of Company Registration Certificate (Form 9) by Company Secretary;
  •  A dated certified true copy of Company Registration Certificate of Change Name of Company (Form 13) by Company Secretary, if applicable; and
  •  A dated certified true copy of latest List of Directorship of Company (Form 49) by Company Secretary.

 

Please take note that the authorisation letter and certified true copies must be dated within 14 working days before the submission date of the Credit Report Request Form.

 

The credit report shall be given only to the person who is legally authorised to administer the estate of the deceased as per the Letter of Administration (LA). The request must be strictly submitted with a Credit Report Request Form supported with a copy of the following documents:

 

  • Original or copy of Letter of Administration (copies must be certified by the issuer); and
  • A copy of identity card (MyKad) of the Administrator.
